Conakry, June 23, 2025 – A horrific scene unfolded on Sunday evening in the Matoto municipality, specifically in the Enta neighborhood. Two young motorcyclists tragically lost their lives in a road accident involving a transport truck.
According to eyewitness accounts, the young riders were on a motorcycle when they were reportedly destabilized—due to still unknown reasons—and fell hard to the ground. Unfortunately, a truck following behind them was unable to avoid the collision. The victims were fatally crushed and died instantly, according to initial reports.
Firefighters and civil protection agents were quickly alerted and rushed to the scene. They secured the area and carried out the first observations.
The truck involved in the accident was taken to the central police station in Enta, where it was immediately sealed off as authorities prepare to launch an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
This incident once again raises concerns about road safety in Conakry, particularly the often hazardous coexistence between heavy trucks and two-wheeled vehicles.
